Happy 30th to our favorite guy!

Saturday, October 10, 2015

We celebrated T's 30th birthday last week...for about two seconds before we didn't see him the rest of the day haha! Oh but let me say...the big audit he's been working on ended TODAY and we have a husband and daddy back, HALLELUJAH!! Besides the 6 weeks off he took when Zoe was born (not complaining!) we haven't seen him since MARCH. The hours have been hectic and I don't think we've had dinner at home together in months. But tomorrow, life is normal and daddy-filled again!! Until December 1 when busy season starts haha!

Back to birthday celebrations! I really, really wanted to do something BIG for T's 30th but considering that he couldn't get a single day off (even Saturdays!) I had to put my plans on hold and squeeze in what celebrations I could. So we started the day with 30 hanging balloons, a french toast breakfast, presents (a white dress shirt and an electric razor...yeah, we're real exciting around here), and family selfies (haha!) before sending Daddy off to work as a 30 year old man ;) We literally did not see him the rest of the day but I'm still hoping to make my big birthday surprise happen later this month!

I sure love this guy!

My Three Favorite Boys

Monday, June 1, 2015

While I'm beyond thrilled to be adding a little girl to the mix, I sure have loved having a house full of boys

^This little one has developed a crazy little personality lately. He is always making crazy faces and telling us random, crazy things and saying stuff like "hi guy guy!" to Daddy when he gets home from work. He gets this stuff from his aunt Laurin ;) ...and also probably from the fact that he's 2-going-on-3.

^while he sometimes says to Daddy "I don't like you!" (so mean!) he always changes his mind after a few minutes or as soon as Daddy leaves for work. Then insert many tears and "I not like Daddy go to work!"

T has been THE best Daddy to two boys and I can't even wait to see him with a little girl! I think he is actually more excited than I am for this baby girl. She is going to be one spoiled little thing with all these boys to love on her and protect her.

Having two boys so close in age has been a dream. Jack is the best big brother and Phillip just adores him. They now can play together for hours in the playroom and I love hearing their little laughs & screams while they build legos, play swords, knock over block towers and wrestle. It's the best ever when you hear Jack say things to Phillip like "come here, honey!" or "Phiddip, where are you? Come play with me!"

Can I just freeze time so they can stay little for just a bit longer?!

But then again. I don't want to be 35 weeks pregnant any longer than I have to so I guess...soldiering on and soaking in every minute of littleness that we have.

Photo Dump

Sunday, August 3, 2014

Because when you get behind on blogging the easiest thing to do is a giant photo dump.
Enjoy!

I really wanted a picture of his outfit but the kid wouldn't turn around.
T picked it out and I was so proud!

^do not let this happy face fool you. the kid hates to have his teeth brushed. it's a fight twice a day.

have i ever told you that when jack was born his head was in the 100th percentile? ONE HUNDREDTH. imagine delivering that. not fun, i tell you. although it's now more in the 80% range he still has a HUGE head. Sometimes we really struggle to get his tshirts on and off.
^ i about died watching this ^

celebrating cousin hayden's 4th birthday party:
^birthday boy^

^phillip wasn't mad about all the attention^

^he is not a child to fall asleep anywhere so when this happened, i knew it meant he was really, really tired.^

^do not be fooled. this is the 1% of the time that he is in his crib and not screaming bloody murder. i had to document. ^

Hold on. Have I told you he is CRAWLING?! Crawling! He started army crawling 6 days before he turned 6 months. Now (1.5 weeks later) he's on to bigger and better things like crawling on his knees and CLIMBING STEPS. He seriously got up that step. My jaw dropped because Jack didn't do that until he was 10 months old. What the?!

I forgave him for growing up so fast because just look.
I meeean.

^teaching him young so maybe he doesn't hate it as much as Jack?^
[although jack started brushing his teeth at 7 months so i'm not sure the one month difference is going to help ha.]

^this guy^

^proof^

^he even gets onto his feet...can you tell?^

and because i can't get enough of his cuteness:
^bath time is all fun and games until you wash his hair. then the smiles disappear real quick^

can we talk about my new PPB bag for one minute?
it is gorgeous. and convenient (backpack). and it was on sale.
love love love.

and also. my love for j.crew factory must be mentioned.
bought this skirt while in utah (because our nearest j.crew factory at home is 1.5 hours away!)
and i drool every time i wear it.
nevermind the fact that it was reduced by $10 like two days after i bought it.
insert crying emoticon.
or mad face. that works too.
^i'm somehow awesome at capturing the random happy moments when my kids are doing things they hate. because phillip hates baby food and somehow he's smiling here? like he gags the entire time. meal time is wonderful.^

lemme just say: i love our life.

end photo dump.
thanks for sticking it out.
back to your regularly scheduled blogging program soon.
so soon.
i halfway promise.

xoxo
