Wallace Family Reunion: Part IV (4th of July!)

Friday, October 9, 2015

Yes, I'm posting about the 4th of July when it's almost September. Oops.

Update: I started drafting this at the end of August, clearly. I'm now finishing and posting it mid-October. Double oops.

July 4th kicked off our Wallace Family Reunion (so why this is post 4, I really don't know. Basically because I'm a blogging mess right now and someday posts will come in the proper order and way more promptly ha!). We spent the day BBQ-ing, swimming, fireworking (definitely not a word), parading, and all the other typical all-american things you do on the 4th of July! Unfortunately, I still couldn't get in the water from just having had Zoe less than a month ago so I was so bummed to not be able to swim! We didn't dip Zoe's brand new little toes into the (pretty cold!) water but the boys had a blast :)

Wallace Family Reunion: Part III (Lake Day!)

Tuesday, October 6, 2015

We hit up Lake Natoma one day of our reunion and I can't believe we don't do this more often with it being just 15 minutes from home! We rented part of the beach and took out paddle boats, hydro bikes, kayaks and so many other water toys! I'm definitely thinking we will have to return next summer as a little family!

Wallace Family Reunion: Part I

Saturday, August 22, 2015

In July we had such a fun reunion with Tom's mom & siblings + families (all 10 of them!). Jack & Phillip had so much fun with all their cousins (so far there are 31 grandchildren!) and Zoe loved the endless attention.

^we won one round of the water ballon toss on sports day, go us!^

^cousin Brandon was a baby hog in the best baby-hogging way. I think he managed to get the baby so often by reminding everyone that he wasn't going to get to hold a baby for the next two years since he left on his mission just weeks after the reunion haha! There's just something about boys/men who adore babies that is just so sweet!

One of the days we spent some time bowling & playing arcade games. Jack loved bowling (Phillip was extra sleepy & cranky but Aunt Julie was sweet to hold him the whole time) and they both loved the arcades!...and let's get real, T & I are both arcade fanatics too. It's a good thing we don't gamble because I'm pretty sure I wasted so many tokens on games just because "for sure this time I'll win the jackpot!" Nope.

^their beloved (cheapo) race cars which is all we got with our hundreds of tickets hahahha
