Fairytale Town Fun

Wednesday, January 17, 2018

One day when Kelli was in town we scooped up Jack after school and brought our whole parade of kids to Fairytale Town. We asked our friend Makaylee and her darling little girl Nora to join us for the afternoon! We had so much fun chasing (literally...the babies love running away from us) the kids, chatting & just being together! The kids LOVE Fairytale Town and we don't go all that often so they were so excited to get to come play with cousins & friends!

Definitely need to do this again sometime soon!

XOXO

Fairytale Town with cousins!

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

Fairytale Town is basically a glorified park where they charge kids and adults alike to come in and play haha. My kids absolutely LOVE it though so we pay the few bucks a couple times a year and spend all day going down slides, climbing on cheese, running the crooked mile and playing on the pirate ship. Growing up, our mom used to take us here with our cousins and it is SO crazy (and weird!) to now BE the mom taking my kids with my sister and her kids! When did we grow up?

My little Scaredy-Jack didn't like some of the bigger slides so he hung out with me & Zoe at the bottom of the slide watching his cousins & Phillip go down time & time again ha!

Phillip is fearless and loves all of the slides, big and small! He makes me nervous climbing up some to some of the slides that have what seem like thousands of stairs to get to the top haha!

Jack braved Owl's Treehouse slide once but only because he got to sit on Aunt Laurin's lap ha!

So many more summer adventures to blog about!

A day at Fairytale Town with our BFFs.

I've blogged before about Fairytale Town but in case you don't remember, it's basically a glorified park...which you pay to get into. Luckily, it's pretty inexpensive especially when you score a BOGO coupon! And little kids seriously love it here so it's worth the few bucks every so often. I used to come here as a kid myself all the time so it's so fun seeing my own littles experiencing it now!

Anyway we've been lucky lately to get to spend lots of time with our BFFs. Emily is basically the best (insert so many tears that she is moving this summer!!) and Jack & Emma are pretty much inseparable. Add in that Phillip has developed a major baby crush on Lizzy lately (he is so excited whenever he sees her - he'll stare at her forever in her car seat ha! - and is basically completely enthralled with the whole idea of a baby...let's hope that sticks when baby sister comes around!) and basically our families are just a perfect match.

Little Emma just turned 3 (THREE?!...that means my baby is turning three soon ahhh!) and for her birthday we took a day trip to Fairytale Town. Enter so many pictures.

^Jack told me (and anyone else he saw) the rest of the day "the sheeps were sleeping. they didn't wake up." yep. kind of boring sheep.

I didn't get any pictures of the slides but let's just talk for a second about how much Phillip loved the slides and could have gone one million times down each one and how Scaredy Jack didn't dare go down any of the big (or semi-big) slides. He was happy to watch Emma & Phillip go down and cheer for them haha! It's crazy how different the two boys are!

^how adorable is it that emma asked to hold jack's hand? basically i was dying over this cuteness.

^these two kill me. Jack is going to be a bucket of tears come summer when little Emma moves away! First best friends are irreplaceable.

Up tomorrow: City Works Day with our BFFs.

Fairytale Town

Monday, August 11, 2014

Last week, the boys & I took a fun trip to Fairytale town with my sister-in-law and her kids. It's basically a glorified park but kids love the place. My mom used to take my siblings & I when we were little and it holds many fond memories of childhood so I was really excited for Jack to experience it for the first time! He was pretty much in heaven going down the slides and running the crooked mile with his cousins.

^Phillip loved looking at all the animals^

^Carter is an awesome big cousin and Jack is pretty sure they're best friends^

^the rabbit hole slide is a favorite^

Thanks for entertaining us for a few hours, Fairytale Town!
Until next time.

xoxo
