Utah Vacay: Day 2

Friday, June 21, 2013

We started our morning with half an episode of Dora.
After Jack turned the Xbox (aka DVD player) off five times I gave up.
But look how cute this baby is...he waves at Dora every time the show starts!

Poor little boy is probably not going to have a regular sleeping schedule all week.
This picture was taken right before I woke him up to go to Parade of Homes. Mean mama.

We went to Aunt Kelli's for lunch
[she made us some delicious quesadillas!]
then headed to Parade of Homes for the afternoon.

Oh. And Jack Jack & I took about a million self-portraits.

Yeah...my front facing camera stinks.

Pizza for dinner later that night
then a game of 3v3 basketball with the sibs.

Jack Jack sat in his car seat and watched us the whole time...
happy as a clam.
Who is this kid?!
He is the most easy-going baby ever.

We ended the night with chocolate chip cookie vanilla ice cream sundaes.
Mmmm.

Utah Vacay: Part 1

Thursday, June 20, 2013

Jack Jack & I are vacationing in Utah this week!
T couldn't get time off work so he had to stay home :[
but we are still having a great time!
My little sis, Jamie, came with us
and my grandma also caught a ride to come see her siblings.

Jack Jack was an all-star on the drive here.
This is his happy face at our lunch stop:

And these are his happy faces in the car:

Great Grandma sat in the back with him most of the way
except for the last three hours when Jamie took over driving and I took over baby-duty.
Easiest baby duty ever.
He seriously just read books, played with Mr. Bunny, and slept.

I think we had a total of about 5 minutes of crying (during the 45 minutes of the drive) and I found out later it was because he had a dirty diaper!
Angel child.

Jack Jack immediately learned where everything was that he is not supposed to touch.
Uncle Ryan's Xbox turns on by sensor and Jack just LOVES turning it off and on a million times.
And it's just within reach which he thinks is awesome.

Jamie & I headed to BYU campus so she could see where all her classes were.
Somewhere along the way Jack Jack lost Mr. Bunny.
I didn't even notice until we had already left campus.
GAHHH.
This is the third time we have lost Mr. Bunny!
I called the BYU lost and found but he hadn't been turned in yet
so we headed back to campus and retraced our steps.
It was great practice for Jamie walking from class to class to class again.
More than halfway through our second round of the campus tour we saw something WAY down this walkway:
It's so far away, you can't even see it.

You still can't see him but I'm pretty sure this is where I literally started running.
I was SO excited that we found him and couldn't wait to retrieve him.

Poor Mr. Bunny!
Pretty sure the tons of EFY kids walking to their variety show thought I was crazy when they saw me waving a stuffed bunny in the air at Jamie (who opted NOT to run haha) and doing a little happy dance.
I didn't even care.
I'm seriously considering buying a dog tag for Mr. Bunny and securing it around his neck.
At the very least, I'm taking my mom's advice from the last time we lost him and writing our contact information on Mr. Bunny's tag.

Jack Jack & Mr. Bunny were reunited immediately.

Although he probably hadn't yet realized Mr. Bunny was missing
he was happy to have him when he woke up!

After that adventure we did a little Parade of Homes
[more on that later]
and then went to the Provo temple that night to do baptisms!

A late night stop at Hokulia Shave Ice ended a perfect day.
We have lots of stuff to pack into this vacay so every day is going to be busy, busy, busy.

What We Wear Wednesday

Wednesday, June 5, 2013

You will have to excuse me.
My outfit is the most boring of boring.
That is what happens when you have to be showered, fed, dressed (x2...the baby too!)
and out of the house by 8:15am
so you can be at your parents by 8:30am in order to use their computer before your brother wakes up and hogs the computer for 14+ hours.
We still do not have internet at our house hence why I have to go through so much just to get a blog post up.
BAH.
And THAT, my friends, is why we have been seriously lacking in the blog department lately.
Anyway, excuse that my outfit did not turn out looking as I imagined when I picked it out last night.
There was no time for change of plans.
But Jack Jack is cute as ever (even while suffering through a nasty cold) so put all your focus on him!

- Marci -
Top: Kohl's
Under tee: Charlotte Russe
[same]
*This is my favorite layering cami EVER. It's reversible (round neck one way, v-neck the other) and has the perfect amount of stretch. Plus the material is lightweight and a lot cooler than the cotton camis in the summer. It's always my top pick when it's clean.
Jeans: Target
Wedges: Target or Payless like 7 years ago...
Ha, no seriously. I wore those shoes to my high school graduation which was 6 years ago and I'm pretty sure I owned them my entire senior year. Tom HATES them but they're my only wedges and they're super comfy plus they go with almost anything! But it's probably time for some new ones...
Necklace: DIY'd by Yours Truly

The proof that I wore those shoes to my high school grad.
Excuse the hideousness of this picture haha.

- Jack Jack -
Polo: H&M ($6!)
Shorts: Carter's
[same]

[he's waving and saying "hiiiii!"]

We've had lots of sobfests around here lately because a certain somebody really hates having his nose wiped.
And that certain somebody has a certain mama who cannot stand to let her child have snot running down his face.
Poor baby.

Is that not the saddest face you have ever seen?

Here's to hoping for a happier Wednesday than we've started with!
